Two skills i acquired after becoming a mum is to (1) convince my boys to let me end their misery by yanking their loose tooth and (2) actually yanking it out :)
This afternoon, Ewan, whose tooth was already loose for some days, bit into an apple which caused bleeding and pain and a fair bit of howling. i offered my services but the poor boy couldn't decide if he could entrust his fate into my hands, literally. i offered ice-cream (i learn the ice-cream bit from TV, not from my mum, lol) and he was sold immediately, lol
It was done in one second? So pro hoh. Anyway, i asked Ewan if he believed in tooth fairies. He answered NO but wouldn't mind if i were to give him money, wahahahahaha
Later in the afternoon when Ethan came back from his softball practice, he yanked out a loose tooth on his own while taking a shower. How coincidental. He had no knowledge about what happened to Ewan's tooth earlier.
When Ethan was younger, i was the one who performed the operation lah. He took over the job when he realised it's really no big deal. Going by the amount of howling by Ewan today, i'm not hopeful he would take over the job any sooner, lol. Well, there's always the school dental nurse if he can wait... :)
