In The Mood

Do you need to be "in the mood" before you do something? The significant other does, especially when home improvement projects are concerned :) i can wait till the cow comes home and he is still not in the right mood to carry it out, lol

Ok, i also need to be "in the mood" where baking is concerned. i haven't baked for some time. But when i saw an apple pie recipe in the papers recently and the kids have just finished their exams, i was finally in the mood for some baking, lol. i was all ready to start one morning and then a fren asked a favour from me. So there i was, juggling the 2 tasks simultaneously the whole morning. By the time the pie and the task were done, i wasn't in the mood for anything else, lol

The same night when the significant other was eating the pie, he casually mentioned that i should bake a banana cake the next day cos there were 2 bananas conveniently hanging there woh. If only looks could kill. Don't you know i need to be in the mood for baking????? :)

But the next day, the 2 bananas were still hanging there lor. Ok, i decided i will only go ahead if i have all the ingredients at hand. And i er, did. Bo pian, bake lor. The funny thing was just when i was about to reach out for the bananas to mash, one just ... dropped, lol. Of course when told, the significant other said, "There, there, i told you. The bananas are MEANT for a banana cake". Yeah right :)
