Greens

i think i've mentioned somewhere in this blog that i'm no green fingers. Well, er, plants do die on me, lol

Thing is, there is someone who keeps offering plants to me, hahahahahaha

He is non other than the kids' swimming coach. He is a young chap, i think in his mid 20s. He is involved in taking care of the community's garden patch and is often bringing potted herbs to give away to the mummies.

The mint plant (extreme left in the pic) was the first pot he gave. Ok, it's still growing, lol. i actually put it some distance from my door to block unwanted visitors like that stupid dog (story is somewhere in this blog too). i think it is very effective cos the plant has a strong smell.

2 evenings back, after the swimming class. The swimming coach invited us to his flat and my, a whole row of big potted plants. He promptly re-potted 3 for us. Second from left in the pic, lemon balm, rosemary and lastly pandan.

We met his mum too. But i was too polite to ask if she has any part to play in taking care of the jungle outside the flat, lol.

This is one talented guy. He not only shares tips on how to care for those plants, he plays the piano too. Back home, i was sharing with the significant other that the swimming coach meets mainly aunties in his job as a swimming coach and through his gardening hobby. Like that how to find a wife, lol. Then the significant other reminded me that the coach is a Christian mah, so in the church sure got girls that would appreciate his gifts :)

i certainly hope so.

i also hope those plants don't die on me. Too fast.

:)
