Wet

That was how the school hols began. No, I'm not referring to our rainy days. The water pipe under our kitchen sink burst and flooded the kitchen on Monday. Papa had to take leave to come home to handle the crisis. Turned out to be such an extensive repair job. We, I mean, he, had to replace the tap, the pipe and the water filter. The entire sink had to be yanked out even. (Ya, papa had to take an extra day of leave). Sigh, I can't even cook a simple meal because washing up was a problem. Ethan was so sweet - he comforted me by saying that he understood the frustration because it was just like the time he couldn't start the fire at the scouts camp last June ;-) Oh well, it was a good opportunity to live out for our kids the biblical command to give thanks in EVERYTHING. We are thankful that papa is a handyman, that the pipe didn't burst while we were out (imagine the entire flat flooded, shudder), that the other pipes weren't affected (it wasn't as if we had no water supply), that ta-pao food was, er, tolerable, that most importantly, God is Good ;-)
