Blessed Easter

Would have loved to blog more often this week, but my pc has been infected with a troublesome virus that just refused to go away and it slows down things a lot. It is still infected at this point of writing - will just have to keep up with our efforts to get rid of it.

Easter worship this morning was uplifting! The songs sung reflected the essence of Easter - we serve a risen saviour! The choir was great too. The kids performed one song with them and it was a joy to see them taking it so seriously ;-) Ethan wasn't very keen initially to sing at the front and some time back even asked me the age at which he is not required to do so! A sister I chatted with this morning gave me a refreshing point of view: the kids are not "performing" per se, but encouraging people with the messages in their songs. WoW. I'll tell Ethan that the next time he is "required" to "perform" again ;-)

I'm glad this past week, we kept up with the lectionary readings nightly. This is the first time I'm doing it with the boys. I think it was a helpful "journey" towards Easter. A mass was conducted at the kids' school on the eve of Good Friday. Both boys came home to say that they teared when they heard about the suffering of Christ. In a few hours' time, Easter will be over. Let's hope the message of hope and love remains.

Blessed Easter!
