Last Friday

Our PC crashed last Wednesday. Might as well. We had a wonderful weekend without the PC.

It was Olympics Fun Day at the kids' school last Friday. Here you see the class reps holding their class' posters at the start of the ceremony. The guest of honour was Dr Tan Eng Yoon, who represented Singapore at the 1956 Olympics in Melbourne in athletics. I was there to help out at the P3/P4 events.

(Don't squint, he is the second runner from right)

Ethan was really disappointed that he didn't win any medal. He didn't think it was fair that a "slow" runner was in his team again (was the same last year). Sigh, this "slow" runner is a very bright boy but has special needs. Papa and I had to patiently explain to him that the chance to participate in the event meant a lot to his special classmate and we affirmed Ethan on giving his best, that sports is about fun, blah, blah, blah. But try telling that to Ethan who was earlier disappointed that he didn't get to run a race with papa (he was not balloted a place) while Ewan participated in a fun relay with papa and won 3rd prize. Well, he got over the disappointment. Ice-cream did the trick ;-)

Since papa took a day's leave for the Sports' Day, we went out in the afternoon. Don't ask me why but I just felt like going to the airport. (Maybe I'm in serious need for a holiday!)

Departing, like real...

You're so far away from the glass windows, see what?

Rows and rows of trolleys. Er, where are the users?
