Labour Days

We resumed painting of our flat last Saturday. We started way back in August. Poor Fai rarely stepped out of the flat for the past week. At least I enjoyed a nice all-girls' gathering on Tuesday with my ex-colleagues. These are wonderful gals; we continue to keep in touch after I left the company 8 years ago, the year I gave birth to Ethan. Wait a minute, that means our friendship goes even beyond that - 13 years to be precise! It had been a most enjoyable afternoon, without the boys and the paint brushes.

Back to painting. Day after day, our routine was: wake up, eat, paint, eat, paint, eat, sleep. Okay, lah, we omitted the part on scolding the kids. You can insert that as many times as you want and at any point in the routine above. This is driving me insane!!

We decided to cease operation for one day tomorrow. I don't care there are still the balcony, the kitchen ceiling & the doors to be painted, and Christmas gifts to be wrapped, kids' hair to be cut, clothes to be ironed..... We. need. to. get. out. of. here.

明天会更好, yeah!
