Universal Studios (5 Nov Monday)

We woke up on Monday morning fully recharged. We planned to spend the entire day at Universal Studios. We walked about 15 minutes to the nearest railway station (Tsuruhashi Station) and took the JR (Japan Railway) train to station Universal City, about half an hour away.

Entry into Universal Studios.
The "TV" box you see here is for holders of annual passes -
you need to put your entire face into the box for face recognition.

Caught red-handed with a certain Miss Boo

Sesame Street characters aplenty when we arrived.
Here is one of them - Ernie.

Who can resist everyone's favourite red furry pal - Elmo?

We took many rides and watched a couple of 4D shows - ET, Spiderman, Terminator, Back to the Future, Jaws, Jurassic Park, Sesame Street, etc. Although we had to queue for these popular rides/shows, the queues moved pretty fast. Someone commented that over at Disneyland in USA, it is normal to queue up to 3 hours for one ride. Thank goodness we needn't do that here. I think the average time we had to wait in the queue was 30 minutes. We enjoyed the rides better because the shows were in Japanese. Wakarimasen.

The souvenir picture we bought.
Here we are with the C. family.

Unfortunately it began to rain in the late afternoon.
The poncho we purchased for the (wet) Jurassic Ride came in handy.

The last show (Peter Pan) at 7.30pm was cancelled because the rain got heavier. That was a pity. Otherwise, it was an enjoyable day!
