Today we were at 乌树林 in Tainan (台南) to board the 恋恋五分车 round the park. This rickety (and i mean REALLY rickety) train was used in the past to transport sugar cane. The tour guide joked that the sugar cane didn't complain, so it remained thus, lol.
At the end of the 20 minute ride (honestly, it wasn't that great), we were given time to explore a small farm 乳牛的家. It wasn't in the itinerary and we have to pay for the entrance. But no regrets though, we saw this farm on TV and it was a great experience for our boys to feed the animals. Plus, i think their milk sweets were simply superb :)

For lunch, we were at a restaurant at 安平老街 which serves all the 小吃. Their or luak (omelet oyster) is not to our liking lah, even though they were generous with the oysters. i heard comments all around that our local version is so much better, lol. The youngsters in our group were so fascinated with the 弹珠汽水 in which the soda drink bottle is sealed with a marble. To drink from the bottle, you need to push the marble into the bottle. That was the highlight of the lunch :)

After lunch, we checked in the hotel. The tour guide actually forgot to bring us to a boat cruise down Kaohsiung's (高雄) Love River (爱河), can you beat that? Anyway, he would later on compensate with an arrangement for us to take the high speed rail to the airport. He comforted us that it's very much like the Singapore River, lol.
The 5-star standard 高雄西子湾 Hotel was the best for this trip :) You'll see why...
For the evening, we got to shop a little while at a shopping belt Shinkuchan (新堀江商圈) before heading to Leo He Night Market (六合夜市).
