I hardly think of Ethan as funny. Intelligent? Yes. Bossy? Yep. Argumentative? Absolutely. Bookish? Definitely. Funny? eh...
Tonight however I was treated to this rare side of him. When he prayed before sleeping, he said something like you know right Lord I have been praying this to you at the start and end of school. I wasn't suprised that he prayed about being obedient and doing well in exams. But I've never heard about this prayer "pattern" of his. Ethan explained that his school recites a series of prayers consisting of Our Father (The Lord's Prayer), Hail Mary and Glory Be To the Father during morning assembly and before school dismissal. He would pray the first prayer aloud with everybody else and when it comes to Hail Mary he would substitute it with his own prayer (because "we're not catholics and nobody will hear what I'm praying anyway") and then re-join in for the last prayer with equal gusto. Hilarious! And he has been doing this for the past month or so.
One funny guy ;-)
