Mrs K mentioned a while ago that she felt the "gap" when she came into the presence of younger mums. Mrs K like myself have kids in primary school. So by definition, younger mums are those with kids in preschool or younger and whose factory is still productive, lol
i don't feel the gap that much with the younger mums from my church, after all Ewan is only a a year or two older than their No. 1 kid. So still have some common topics lah. But 2 days ago, at the full-month celebration of a cousin's baby, i FELT it, lol
My cousin staggered her guests - church frens, relatives, colleagues. When we arrived, her church pals were still there. And what a sight greeted us, a whole flat full of young babies, lol. Even Ewan remarked "Mama, they are all babies!!" when he couldn't find his cousins, lol
i made small talk lah. Gosh, i felt out of place, lol. But that quickly changed when our cousins (our age group) started arriving with their kids (our kids' age group), phew!
that said, i have a pal who married late and had a child about 2 years ago. He gushes about his child's development which both the sig. other and i would take some time to recall or register, wahahahahaha.
AND that said, congratulations to my another pal who is going to be a parent soon. Thanks for sharing the good news!!

So glad you mentioned this. Over CNY, didn't know what to do with my baby niece much. It's like so foreign now. Frankly, baby talk about how to move their bowels, skin rash, car seats etc don't seem very my thing now. Can't imagine, we actually went through that phase too!
ya, so glad we're over that phase, lol. i just received news from my frens who have relocated to USA that they have a second one!! it's a blessing lah to share their happiness :) but i'll never want to revisit that phase again. close shop, wahahahahaha
