Actually 7 weeks. Nephew No.2 left for a 6-week overseas study trip and came back a week ago. We saw him in church yesterday. Thanks for the souvenirs! (Side-track: a Starbucks city mug. From China. LoL)
Perhaps it's because we chatted online occasionally so it didn't feel that he was away that long. But it's scary to think that I can't really recall what i've done in the past 6 weeks!
One thing was at least done. We got our air tickets early last week. It has been frustrating to say the least when plans keep changing and I have no control over it. Long story cut short, we have abandoned the original plan to go on a road trip in USA with another family. We DIDN'T contribute to the problem, lol. Anyway, even after we have decided on a new destination, there were delays. We can't book a hotel since we don't have the tickets. Thank goodness we didn't too, because the days and flights given were different from what we requested. So ok, finally got tickets and we booked a hotel. Then came the market turmoil and the price we locked in with the hotel is in yen. Sigh. Thanks Mrs K for advice. Will keep you posted.
The kids are preparing for exams. Year-end exams just have such an air of finality to it, lol. 6 weeks from now? Exams will be a history and school hols would have begun. But i would probably not be asking Huh? 6 weeks already? I would be looking foward to our holiday ;-)
