Happy Children's Day. Again.

Children's Day is celebrated in schools this morning! I was at the boys' school to help out at the jumble sale in aid of SPCA. The boys were treated to some entertaining programmes by their teachers in the school hall first thing in the morning. I wasn't there. I was at the canteen having breakfast with other parent volunteers ;-) These experienced volunteers told me that there will be no time to eat when the jumble sale is on, must eat now, LoL. From the canteen, we all heard the familiar Children's Day Song...
Sama-sama maju ke hadapan
Pandai cari pelajaran......
Funny thing is most of us there could still remember the lyrics after all these years ;-) After eating, we set up the stalls. The kids have extended recess today (1 hour instead of half an hour). So 2 recesses meant that we had to man the stalls for 2 hours. Very tiring, lol. One class teacher was so nice. Besides his own gifts to his class, he sponsored $3 for each kid to buy stuff at the jumble sale. So you can imagine how happy these boys were ;-)

The Jumble Sale is on...

Our very multi-racial parent volunteers...from Indonesia and Philippines

This one from Singapore, my good fren.

The toys from this stall is more upmarket than mine, hahaha

This mummy is very good in selling, buy one get one free, LoL

Ah, this boy is familiar ;-)

This is my stall. It started with 3 for 50c, then 5 for 50c and
finally towards the end of 2nd recess, it was 10 for 50c, LoL.

The PE teachers also had games stall for the boys.

At the end of the sale, all of us were so exhausted and sweaty. The significant other remarked, "Teachers' Day you work, Children's Day you also work". LoL. Ok lah, all in good fun ;-)

And this is what i saw when i got home. First dog, now cat. It must be papa's smelly shoes, LoL.
