Happy Belated 9th Birthday, Ethan! Ryan Kor celebrated his sweet & macho 16th Birthday on the same day as you! I'll email you his birthday photo since I've no blog like your mama...haha.. Sorry I don't have presents for you; just a short message which I hope you will somehow remember in your growing up years:
I hope you’d continue to find hand-me-downs just as fun, if not more enjoyable, than brand-new toys.
I hope you will continue to share a room with your little brother. While you two may have fights, when he wants to crawl in with you because he had a nightmare, I hope you will let him.
I hope you taste the sweetness of success and learn humility by surviving failure. Getting As or even Bs is difficult but it’s the Cs and Ds that really test your resolve.
I hope you get into a fight for something you believe in. (although I know your mom may not like that very much!)
Lastly and with all my heart, I hope you have friends who last through the years, just as your mom has been a lifelong friend to me.
