Ethan finished his exams yesterday. He was so jublilant. In fact, on the eve of his last paper, he was excitedly making plans with his brother on what they would be playing when he returns home from school the next day. That should be the way, shouldn't it? Completing exams is an achievement in itself that should be celebrated. Good results is the bonus. In motivating Ethan to prepare for his exams, I pointed to the free time he would have after the exams and of course the upcoming holiday in Osaka. I don't promise him anything else and don't make any agreement with him that hinges on his results. Ethan told me his friends could get such and such if they score certain marks. Well, sorry lah, I don't things this way. If you do well for your exams, good for you, I will reward you but on my terms.
For now, let's sit back and relax. EXAMS ARE OVER!
