i picked this book from the library 2 weeks back - The Lost Memoirs of Jane Austen by Syrie James.
It's so well written in the voice of Jane Austen that it's hard to believe that the memoirs aren't real :) The author weaved in a fictitious love story of Jane Austen, a love story that would be the inspiration of her wonderful Pride & Prejudice.
After finishing the book, i immediately dug out my old copy of Pride & Prejudice and oh, how i enjoyed it after er don't know how long, lol. Though written in the 1800s, the nature of human relationships really hasn't changed much :)
Finished the book, couldn't get enough of it, also went to youtube to watch parts of the BBC production and also the movie too. Indulgence, hee hee.
i'm reading Mansfield Park right now. Am looking forward to Sense & Sensibility (my A level text), Emma (this one got movie too), Persuasion and so forth. That is, IF this interest is sustained lah, lol. For all you know, all it takes is another kind of book staring at me in the library :)
