On Being Automatic

One of papa's favourite life lessons for the boys is "hello, be automatic!".

Because they are hardly "automatic" when it comes to doing something for the other person, ESPECIALLY your sibling, WITHOUT being told ;-)

Sometime back, I yelled "automatic!" at Ewan and his quick reply was:

I'm not a robot, I'm not programmed.

*faint*

2 weeks back, i was very "automatic" too.

I latched the door after bringing out the trash in the night, like i always do.

Problem was, all of us were in the flat EXCEPT for the significant other.

He would be coming home very late in the night.

When he couldn't open the door, he...

rang the doorbell

called the home phone

called my mobile

banged on the door

FOR HALF AN HOUR while the rest of us slept like a log ;-)

The face of the significant other was SO black when i finally heard the phone rang and opened the door.

He said the neighbour's dog was barking and he was expecting the police to descend on him next, lol

Aiyah, for those of you who know the layout of my flat, you wouldn't blame me for not being able to hear him. I think the boys should share an equal blame too since their room is nearest to the door and the phone. Ethan was so funny when "confronted" by papa. He said "No wonder i hear bing bing biang biang in my dream". LoL

Phew! I finally could blog about this.

Because last night i told pastor and pastor's wife and pastor said he was locked out too once and pastor's wife also didn't hear his attempts to get her to the door, wahahahahaha.

Ok, sometimes it's not good to be too automatic.

;-)
