Sunday afternoon saw the three men in my life engrossed in a building project. The little boys were excited in fixing up the racing track (belonging, of course, to the big boy). The big boy first gave instructions to clean the tracks. (Eh, quite dusty from neglect because the big boy now expends his energy mostly in moving a mouse in front of a box). The little ones weren't too enthusiastic about their first assignment; they thought they could jump straight into putting the tracks together. After the half-hearted cleaning job, they saw that fixing the tracks was no easy task either (what did i tell you? it's big boys' toy). But Ethan said "Teach me lah" and Ewan promptly parroted the same words to show that he was just as eager. The big boy proceeded to coach the little ones in the labourious work of piecing the tracks together. They were laughing, singing, nagging, encouraging, coaching, scolding, snacking and eh, perspiring. The fruit of their labour was finally ready after 2 hours. There you are, the essence of male-bonding for you.
