Heart Warming

This has been a good week :)

First, i found out that a psychology masters student who is doing his practicum at our hospital is working at one of my previous working places! Even better news that he shared is that his boss is none other than my ex-colleague who left after me and then came back to head the organisation only last month! (ok, one too many exclamation mark here but i was really that excited to discover what a small world this is). i subsequently sms my friend and we caught up from there :)

i received an sms from a mummy friend who missed my presence in school. i don't think i've blogged about it, but i was really down when i realised that i must organise my 2 job assignments in such a way that i work every weekday morning so as to be home in the afternoons (except Friday which is bo-pian, has to be a full day). i had to give up my reading sessions in school. i felt as if losing a huge part of me. Anyway, i'm very touched to hear from this mummy, one of my closest friends from my sons' school.

Another friend sms me that she is following her passion and accepting a job offer that pays her way below what she is earning now. About 2 months' back when she came by for dinner, my job at the hospital was yet to be confirmed and she had just gone for an interview in which she was told that she is over-qualified for the position but they are willing to explore other options for her. It's certainly good news and i can't wait to meet up again with her and another mutual friend who has taken no pay leave to follow her husband for an overseas posting.

i have a friend who regularly emails me jokes and funny stuff to read. This week i got something from her and then i realised that i haven't updated her on my new job. So i briefly updated her and we exchanged a few emails.

My heart is warmed :)
