Last year's VBS (Vacation Bible School) was Ewan's first night away from home. He survived and enjoyed it tremendously :) You can read it here and here.This year, VBS was extended to 3D2N and being away from home was no longer an issue for Ewan.
i didn't miss the boys that much either, though in the night, it was a little strange without our nightly routine of reading and praying together.
Parents were there the last night of the camp and it was evident that the kids had great fun. Regardless of what constitutes the success of VBS and the hiccups in communication between certain parties, i think the efforts of the young people in our church in organising the camp were highly commendable.
Kids, parents and organisers - don't we all grow up a little after the experience?
